TERMS OF SERVICE

Welcome to Made by Paige. By using our website or placing an order, you agree to the terms below.

1. About Us
Made by Paige is based in Thames, New Zealand and specialises in handmade cakes, cake tubs, and treats. Contact us at: madebypaigenz@gmail.com or 021 293 5909.
All prices are in NZD and include GST.

2. Orders

  • An order is confirmed once you receive a confirmation email from us.

  • Custom cakes may vary slightly in colour, decoration, or design due to being handmade.

  • 48 hours notice on all orders is preferable, but please always get in touch — I may be able to help with last-minute orders where possible.

  • We may decline orders if ingredients are unavailable, payment fails, or the design requested is inappropriate.

3. Payment
Payment is due at the time of ordering unless otherwise arranged. We accept bank transfer or debit & credit cards. Orders may be cancelled if payment is reversed or fails.

4. Cancellations & Refunds

  • Standard orders: Full refund if cancelled 72 hours before pickup.

  • Custom/large cakes: Deposits are non-refundable once design or preparation has begun.

Under the Consumer Guarantees Act (CGA), you may be entitled to a refund or replacement if a product is faulty or not as described.

We do not refund for:

  • change of mind,

  • damage after pickup,

  • minor design variations or personal taste preferences.

5. Pickup
Pickup is available from either of the following locations:

  • 70 Packtrack Road, Kauaeranga Valley, Thames, or

  • Flowers on Pollen, 512 Pollen Street, Thames

Pickup time will be arranged with you directly upon order confirmation.

If you choose to collect your order from Flowers on Pollen, please note this is a courtesy pickup point kindly offered on our behalf — Flowers on Pollen is not responsible or liable for any damage that may occur to your order once it has been left there for collection. We take great care to package everything securely, but please arrange collection promptly and handle your cake gently on the way home.

Once picked up, the cake becomes your responsibility.

6. Allergies
Our products may contain or come into contact with gluten, dairy, eggs, nuts, soy, and other allergens. While we offer allergy-friendly options (including gluten-free items), we cannot guarantee a completely allergen-free environment, as all items are made in a small home kitchen.

7. Website Use
All content on our website, including images and text, belongs to Made by Paige. Please do not copy or reuse our content without permission.

8. Privacy
We collect only the personal information needed to process orders and provide customer service. We follow the NZ Privacy Act 2020. See our Privacy Policy for more detail.

9. Liability
To the extent permitted by NZ law, our liability is limited to the amount paid for your order. Your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act always apply.

10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of our website means you accept the latest version.
